Lithops are an interesting succulent variety in the ice plant family known as Aizoaceae. They are native to South Africa and thrive in desert like conditions. They are also known as “living rocks/stones” due to their ability to flower. You may also hear them referred to as “little brain plants”, because well, they resemble little brains!
Medium-high light; some direct light is ideal (4-5 hours of morning sun is ideal. Helps to maintain the pattering on the top of the lithop, without scorching the plant)keep close to a west or south window. As with most succulents, allow soil to fully dry before watering (typically when the leaves start to look a little dehydrated or wrinkled)
